Mark Hardiman joined PTP as Chief Executive Officer on 2nd January 2024.

He has a total of 29 years’ industry experience in the shipping and ports industry, working in 7 countries on 3 continents in leadership positions, including 8 years in CEO roles – namely in South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, Belgium, Bahrain, the UAE, Oman and now Malaysia. 

Mark is well-known for his passion for people, purpose, and results, and has a proven track record of success in port management, with a strong dedication to safety and success in complex situations including with governments, and at ministerial level for issues such as concession negotiations.

With his diverse background of experiences and an excellent track record of delivery in the global port, maritime and logistics industry, Mark is looking forward to realising the full potential of PTP as one of the leading regional transshipment hubs in the Straits of Malacca which delivers long-term growth and value for all its stakeholders.

Muhammad Abdullah Hatta joined PTP as a Deputy Chief Executive Officer on 2nd February 2016 and assumed the post of Chief Financial Officer on 5th August 2016. 
 
A chartered Accountant with Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Hatta holds a Bachelor Degree Accounting from University Malaya. 
 
Prior to joining PTP, Hatta was with Medini Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd as a Senior Vice President – Finance. He started his career in Anuarul Azizan Chew & Co. before joining Ernst & Young Malaysia in 1994. He subsequently joined Golden Pharos Berhad in 1997 as the Group Accountant before joining DRB – HICOM in 2000. In 2007, he joined Westport Malaysia Sdn Bhd and assumed the post of Chief Financial Officer in 2010.

Joe Schofield joined PTP as Chief Operations Officer on 1st November 2017.

A graduate of the APM Terminals Magnum program, Joe holds multiple qualifications in Maritime studies, Executive Leadership and Transport & Distribution.

Prior to joining PTP, Joe was the Chief Operation Officer for Port of Salalah, Oman. He was also previously the General Manager of Operation for APM Terminal based in Dubai, UAE. 

Joe has 25 years of industry experience covering multiple modes of operation, countries and diverse cultures.

Brian R Pedersen joined PTP as Deputy Chief Financial Officer on 1st May 2021.

Graduated from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark with Bachelor of Finance (Finance & Credit Markets), Brian has also attended various leadership programmes at IMD, Switzerland.

Prior to joining PTP, Brian has more than 25 years’ experience in the maritime industry from various roles within APMT/Maersk.

Brian has also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), CI Biomass Europe. He too was the Chief Financial Officer at Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), the world’s largest Regional Aircraft Lessor, out of Denmark.

Prakash Thurairasasingam joined PTP on 1st  December 1999 as an IT Executive and was subsequently appointed as the Head of Commercial on 1st April 2016.

He holds a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology from University Southern Queensland, Australia and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Nottingham Trent University, UK.

Prior to joining PTP, Prakash was with Westsport Malaysia during the container start up years of 1997-1999. 
 
At PTP, his early involvement was in the setting up of operational systems following which he was assigned to the Commercial Team with the key task being the transition of large liner clients. He was also seconded to Johor Port, a multipurpose port specifically to develop new port related projects for the shareholder.

His experience in challenging start up environments over a variety of port management roles has helped PTP grow towards new business areas and a diversified revenue stream.

Jaizal Kamar Jalaludin  joined PTP as Head of Human Capital Management on 2nd November 2015.  
  
He holds Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Leeds, UK.  
  
Prior to joining PTP, Jaizal was the Head of Human Resources at Sapura Kencana Petroleum Berhad. He was also previously the Human Resource Director at Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad, Carrefour Malaysia & Singapore and Global HR Manager for Dunham Bush Holdings Berhad.   
  
Jaizal has an extensive background in HR, having served in wide range of industries including aviation, transportation, manufacturing, oil and gas and retail throughout the Asia Pacific region, UK and the USA. 

 
Khairul Amalin Abd Rahman

Khairul Amalin Abd Rahman joined PTP as Head of Health, Safety and Environment on 29th November 2018 and was later promoted to Head of Health, Safety, Security and Environment on 1st February 2020. 
  
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Minnesota, USA and Master’s of Business Administration from University of Technology Malaysia.  
  
Prior to joining PTP, Khairul Amalin was with Texas Instruments where he took on numerous roles such as safety specialist, occupational hygienist, environmental specialist, emergency response team manager, HSE Manager and Regional  Manager being his last role.  Before that, he worked at MIMOS Semiconductor (M) Sdn Bhd as an Integration Engineer.  
 
With more than 15 years’ experience in HSE and Response Team, Khairul Amalin will lead PTP’s Health, Safety, Security and Environment Division towards a better future and transformation.

 
Arjan Weerstand

Arjan Weerstand joined PTP as Head of Project Integration on 1st January 2019. 
 
He holds a Degree in Industrial Engineering & Management as well as a Diploma in Project Management from the Netherlands.
 
Prior to joining PTP, Arjan held the position of Head of Implementation at the United Nation Office for Project Services in Nairobi, where he was responsible for the implementation of the programme portfolio for Eastern & Southern Africa from 2016 till the end of 2018. Before that, he worked for APM Terminals from 2005 till 2015, where he managed the development and implementation of projects in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. 
 
With over 20 years of project management and leadership experience in both the private, as well as the public sector, Arjan has a track record of developing and professionalising teams to create an environment for project excellence.

Mahmoud Dorman Hussein Shouman joined PTP as General Manager of the Maintenance and Repair Department in January 2020 and was subsequently promoted to Head of Engineering and Facilities Division in September 2022.
 
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Power Engineering from Helwan University in Cairo, Egypt.
 
Prior to joining PTP, Mahmoud served multiple positions at APM Terminals and General Motors for 19 Years. He worked as a Maintenance Engineer for 2 years at General Motors Egypt, followed by 10 years at Suez Canal Container Terminal (APMT - Egypt) in a variety of positions ranging from Maintenance Engineer to Engineering Shift Manager. Mahmoud was also the Head of Maintenance and Repair in APM Terminals- Bahrain from 2013 to 2020.
 
With more than 19 years of experience working in engineering management and leadership,  Mahmoud aspires to drive PTP Engineering and Facilities Division to the next level of success in achieving its mission and vision.

Ts. Dr. Irwana Abd Malek joined PTP as the General Manager of the Supply Chain Department on 23 July 2018 and was later promoted to Head of Supply Chain Division on 15 October 2021.

She holds a Doctorate in Supply Chain, a Master of Science in Human Resource Development and a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Management from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

Prior to joining PTP, she has served with various companies under different capacities and functions such as Head of Supply Chain at OI-BJC Malaysia. She was also previously the Head of Planning, Procurement System and Logistic at Siegwerk Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Head of Planning for TDK-Lambda (M) Sdn Bhd and Planning Manager at Nemic Lambda (M) Sdn. Bhd.

With more than 22 years of leadership experiences under her belt spanning across the entire spectrum of supply chain management and operation in various industries and portfolios covering the electronics, chemical industry, glass manufacturing and port operations. She is involved in developing the ERP system for the supply chain and production, managing and controlling 3PL warehousing system and procedure, planning, material management, logistics distribution and inventory management.
