Compliance
As an overview, in PTP the Compliance function aims to establish global standards and procedures aimed at reducing improper, illegal or unethical conduct and ensure that such standards are institutionalized throughout PTP, which in turn translates to mitigated levels of risks for PTP.
Corporate Integrity
Corporate integrity is essential in setting a concrete foundation for Malaysia’s existing and future economic prosperity. It is measured by what a company does or does not do even when no one is looking. Integrity is violated when corporate governance policies and procedures are disregarded in the quest for personal and corporate gain. A company must put in place an ethical working environment where ethical corporate cultures, policies, laws and procedures are followed and enforced. PTP is committed to comply with high ethical standards and applicable anti-corruption laws. This is line with PTP values, business principle and various internal policies which reflect the continuous focus on making ethics and anti-corruption an integral part of PTP business operations. Such focus has helped promote strong ownership and accountability of compliance and ethics at all levels.
PTP Corporate Integrity Principles
- PTP shall strive to create a business environment that is free from corruption through the following actions:
- Committing to promoting good corporate governance, transparency, accountability and values of integrity
- Strengthening internal systems that support corruption prevention
- Complying with laws, policies and procedures relating to fighting corruption
- Fighting any form of corrupt practice
- Supporting corruption prevention initiatives by the Malaysian Government and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC)
Policies
In PTP’s effort to ensure compliance, several policies have been developed to provide guidance in daily conduct;
It is a PTP policy to conduct all the Company’s business honestly and ethically. PTP takes a zero-tolerance approach to corruption and is committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all the business dealing, resource management and relationships. The Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption Policy commits to implement effective systems to counter corruption by promoting the values of transparency, integrity and accountability, for the organic growth of the Company. The Framework adopts the ISO 37001:2016 Anti-bribery management system and the TRUST principles, which specifies a series of measures to assist organizations in preventing, detecting and resolving instances involving bribery and corruption.
