MMC to expand, strengthen business in Iskandar Malaysia

MMC Corp Bhd is constantly looking into expanding and strengthening its businesses in Iskandar Malaysia, its group MD Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohamed Noh said.
He said the group's operating company, Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP) for example, is one of Iskandar Malaysia's major ports.
"Iskandar's strategic location is definitely a window for us to fulfil our vision in positioning ourselves as the preferred port of choice in SouthEast Asia," he said in a statement in Johor Baru yesterday.
PTP is a joint venture between MMC Corp (70%) and APM Terminals with a global port network in 69 countries.
Che Khalib was one of the panellists at the Invest Iskandar Malaysia 2015 organised by the Iskandar Regional Development Authority held at Persada Johor International Convention Centre in Johor Baru yesterday.
He delivered an insight into the investment strategies of MMC Corp and how the group continues its growth path through diversification and innovation.
At the inaugural event, MMC Corp also showcased businesses projecting its operating companies — PTP, Johor Port Bhd, Senai Airport City Sdn Bhd, Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd and Seaport Worldwide Sdn Bhd.
MMC Corp has evolved over the years to be one of the country's leading utilities and infrastructure group with diversified businesses namely in ports and logistics, energy and utilities, and engineering and construction.
