“PTP has the capacity and capability to accommodate mega vessels because it is fitted out with the right facilities and equipment. The port is designed for the latest generation of container vessels to handle huge volumes.” “Strategic investment in our equipment and facilities are continuing progressively. Our equipment upgrading and expansion program will ensure that PTP can keep up with the rapid changes of port and shipping industry and subsequently meet the growing demand of our customers.” added Dato’ Sri Che Khalib.
“We are very proud of the Madrid Maersk, which is the first in a series of our 2nd generation Triple-E vessels. To deliver on our growth strategy we need new capacity. Our new vessels complement our fleet and will replace older and less efficient tonnage. They provide efficiency and economy of scale in specific trades and add flexibility across geographies” said Nicolaj Noes, Head of Operations for Maersk Line in Asia Pacific
