PTP to collaborate with neighbours towards free flow of cargo

JOHOR BAHARU, March 3 (Bernama) -- Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), the second port in Johor after Pasir Gudang, is looking forward to collaborate with its neighbours towards a free flow of cargo movement by introducing automated cargo flow between Malaysia and Singapore.

The proximity of the Second Link in Tanjung Kupang to PTP stands to benefit shippers in the Jurong and Tuas industrial areas, said Mohd Sidik Shaik Osman, PTP's chief executive officer on Saturday.

"In line with providing high efficiency and customer-oriented processes, PTP is moving forward towards the free-flow of containers between countries," he said when speaking at a conference organised by Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute (ASLI), here. -- BERNAMA
