PTP volume statistics still riding high on Evergreen boxes

Evergreen’s 2002 decision to hub in Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) continues to boost the port’s throughput statistics, with 37% volume growth in the first half of 2003 to 1.6m TEU.PTP also cited ‘the growth of PTP’s existing customers in terms of volumes, vessel service calls and local cargo’. PTP CEO Mohd Sidik Shaik Osman commented: ‘PTP will continue its focus on building up its land base through additional logistics customers and also the Phase Two terminal expansion.’
