Flextronics, one of Singapore's leading providers in the electronics  manufacturing sector, has signed an agreement today with the Port of Tanjung  Pelepas (PTP) to set up a MYR400m (US$105.26m) industrial campus within the port's Pelepas Free Zone to house production and logistics centres for the company and its various suppliers.

Flextronics has had a very strong presence in Johor and Malacca for the past  ten years, and the new agreement with PTP is part of a plan by the  manufacturer to consolidate its regional operations under one facility.

The new facility is expected to be operational April 2006, and will cover an area of 1.2m sq ft of ground space.
