Tanjung Pelepas keen to work with APL-NOL Shipping company American President Line-Neptune Orient Line (APL-NOL) expressed confidence in working with Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) in the future and is looking into various options for a comprehensive package.
PTP, as a new port in one of APL-NOL key markets, was being assessed in terms of facilities and systems for opportunities that may arise, the company said in a statement.
Yesterday, the executive committee of APL-NOL led by its Chief Executive Officer Flemming Jacobs, were at the PTP to commemorate the maiden voyage of APL's first vessel, APL Philippines, to the port.
The statement said the vessel's call demonstrated the confidence and recognition that main shipping lines had in PTP's efficiency and further strengthen the port's effort to become the region's premier transhipment hub.
