Recently, 56 members of the Johor and Singapore freight forwarders associations were shown around the facilities and briefed on the progress of construction.

A PTP statement said the visitors were waiting for the port to begin operations in January, as it offers a viable alternative to other ports in the region.

Both delegations were taken to the completed berths 1 and 2, the port administration building, access road and IT training centre.

PTP is engaging all sectors within the ports and shipping industry to gain valuable feedback, in order to develop the port as a transhipment hub.
