Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP) was developed from green field where it was previously known as a traditional fishing village. In less than 20 years since it commenced operations, PTP has achieved remarkable success by becoming one of the world’s busiest container ports, ranked at no 15 amongst top 100 ports in the world.

As a world class port offering state-of-the-art facilities to port users, PTP has proven its competitiveness at the global level by growing its regional market share and winning various recognitions locally and internationally. Our pursuit of operational excellence reflects on the success of PTP becoming one of the main regional hubs of the 2M Alliance, comprises of two of the biggest shipping lines in the industry.

Likewise, our Pelepas Free Zone has become a vital global and regional hub that houses more than 40 companies, which employ 11,000 people and contributed RM2.8 billion investments to the country.

PTP will continue to leverage its inherent strengths, such as its strategic location, proven track record for operational excellence and continuous embrace of digitalisation and innovation. All this with the goal of enhancing the value proposition offered to PTP’s customers and its stakeholders.
