The Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), South-east Asia’s fastest growing transhipment hub has achieved a throughput of 2.05 million TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) for year 2001 surpassing its own target of 2 million TEUs. The 2.05 million TEUs represent an increase of approximately 5-fold over year 2000’s 418,000 TEUs.
